Members Update Newsletter
I hope you are all keeping well in this very peculiar time. I know some of you are taking this time to catch up on your daily exercise and the rest of you are just taking time out; walking back and forth to the fridge counting this as your daily exercise!
Update on Centre news
I wanted to catch up with you all and let you know what was going on at Oxley whilst you have been away. The Centre has been closed now for just over a month and as you may be aware, the Government has just announced another 3 weeks of lock down and then they will reassess. I am of the opinion that the Centre will not reopen before 31 May, however as and when I have further information I will of course update everyone.
During the time the Centre has been shut to the public; we have been organising maintenance for the pool, so it happens in this downtime, updating our social media sites with new home workouts, keeping members connected with our virtual Bingo and Easter crafts for the children over the Easter weekend and on bank holiday Friday (VE Day, 8 May) we will be hosting a virtual quiz. If you would like to join in please email Gemma; for more information on how to sign up.
Your membership fees:
Fixed term memberships
If you are on a fixed term membership, such as an Annual or 3 month membership your subscription will be extended for the amount of time the centre will be shut for. So if we are shut for all of April and May you will have an extension of 2 months at the end of your term.
Your Direct Debit fee will NOT be taken for May even if we reopen during the month. As yet it has not been confirmed what will happen for June. I can, however, assure you that there will be some form of compensation for the month of April but as yet this has not been determined. As soon as I have a better idea of what is happening I will be back in touch.
As many may know by now, Kate Stancel Lewis, one of our Senior Fitness Instructors has left us to work as a Primary Care Network Link Worker within Dorset - working with individuals giving them the support they need live independently and improve their health outcomes. We wish her all the best in her new position.
